Paradigm 40 Sport Utility Vessel – the boat designed for modern living on the water. With a balance of performance, efficiency, and practicality, Paradigm is perfect for families or couples who want to embrace boating with comfort and style.
The boat’s raised foredeck and nearly plumb bow bring to mind the classic design, yet with a business-like design in pilothouse superstructure, the concerto of elements make for a clean modern aesthetic. The SUV platform with wide-open cockpit and stern deck invite us aboard in a way our fathers’ boats never did.
Inside, an open format brings the family together, while cozy cabins provide privacy. Single-level living unites the sun-worshippers and gourmet cooks, the navigators and the loungers. The water-level access just abaft of platform luxurious aft deck sofas draws one to the water and highlights the reason we’re out here in the first place.
The boat’s fully-opening windows offer open air with the push of a button when you want it. The salon and galley enjoy panoramic views while underway and at anchor, and easy communication between the cockpit and interior ensures that no one is left out of the social experience.
With a full-width swim platform and easy boarding from dock or dinghy, getting on and off Paradigm is a breeze. The uncluttered foredeck and side decks provide safe and easy line handling and anchoring, and the spacious one-level living from cockpit to salon makes it easy to move around.
Performance and efficiency are key features of Paradigm. The clean and proven modified-Vee hull-form is aimed at lightweight cored composite construction using the latest in materials laminate technology to ensure a fuel-sipping top speed of 20 knots with a single 370 hp Yanmar diesel. The optional twin engine packages can achieve speeds of up to 32 knots and over, and a third power arrangement could be chosen in the hybrid diesel/electric employing twin Steyr diesel-electric combos to silent operations in the harbor when desired.
The Paradigm 40 Sport Utility Vessel offers roomy comfort for social gatherings and family time shared together. The platform design offers flexibility in configuring decks for focuse use whether water-sports or socializing is the goal. The boat arranges privacy and comfort for two couples, or a family of four, and safety and utility beyond comparison.
