Moxie was a true collaborative effort with Rumery’s Boat Yard. The journey began with a stock Holland 38 lobster boat hull; we custom designed the superstructure, interior, systems, and propulsion to give the yacht’s owners a custom experience at a fraction of the cost. Moxie’s varnished mahogany cabin trunk calls to mind the classic “picnic boat” look; clever shaping and painting helps conceal the fact that she has a fully enclosed pilothouse rather than a canvas top. Aphrodite
This mighty 1937 Purdy commuter yacht was completely restored at Brooklin Boat Yard. Aphrodite’s rehabilitation shows how traditional design and technological innovation each have their place on the water. With redesigned propulsion and steering systems, new tanks and plumbing systems, and completely revamped interior, she is perfectly matched to her owners’ flawless tastes. The result of this collaboration is a thrilling glimpse at what yachting was like in the 1930s—with all the comforts of today. Rebuilt by: Brooklin Boat Yard, 2005
